I think it’s a pathetic commentary on the state of American politics that Obambi needs to shift to the right in order to make himself palatable to the rest of the electorate.
I understand your point of view, but to me he’s just going from rightwing to a bit more rightwing. Just as long as the guy that’s even more rightwing doesn’t win, I’ll be, happy’s not the word, I guess relieved is closer to the truth.

Whilst redefining himself so that he broadens his appeal, Obambi stands a real chance at becoming the very thing he often rails against.
The quote attributed to Nietzsche is apropos in this context.
Aren’t elections always about choosing the lesser evil?
